What the Nursery Supports

The Nursery may handle:

• Pregnancy visibility and care context.


• Kits and newborn family groups.


• Family beds or nursery bedding.


• Caretaker and wetnurse support.


• Weather, sickness, and hygiene warnings affecting vulnerable young.

Family Beds

Nursery space is not infinite. Families may require suitable bed space, and poor bedding can raise risk.

Wet, dirty, damaged, or overcrowded nursery bedding can create sickness and mood pressure.

Caretakers and Wetnurses

Caretakers help support young pets and family care. Wetnurses may help vulnerable kits or families when the system allows.

A wetnurse is useful support, not a magical kit-fixing machine. Food, water, bedding, safety, and illness control still matter.

Orphans and Parent Death

If a parent dies, the Nursery may need extra care support. Orphaned kits are more fragile and may depend more heavily on colony help.

Weather and Health Pressure

The Nursery is sensitive to harsh conditions:

• Cold can threaten fragile kits.


• Heat can worsen dehydration and sickness pressure.


• Mold, smoke, flooding, and dirty bedding can increase illness risk.


• Unsafe water and spoiled supplies can affect families quickly.

Elder Storykeepers

Elders assigned as Nursery Storykeepers through the Elder Hearth can provide softer support and comfort in the Nursery.
