Feral Rise is a browser-based virtual pet survival game. Adopt wild creatures, form colonies, gather resources, and keep your clan alive against hunger, thirst, sickness, and the wilds beyond your den.

This game is made by user Ittermat- and Darkforestadopts Ittermat Does the code and art, and Darkforestadopts does the art! Sometimes some of our other friends pitch in a bit too but its mostly the two of us.

No downloads needed. It runs in your browser on desktop or mobile.

Yep! The site is responsive. Some screens are cozier on desktop, but you can feed, heal, rest, and scout on mobile.

Go to Adopt from the main menu. Pick a species/type, name your pet, choose a gender, and confirm. Your pet appears in My Pets.

• Hunger: Increases if unfed. At high hunger, health will start dropping.
• Thirst: Same idea—without water, health declines.
• Health: Reduced by hunger, thirst, sickness, and risky events. Keep it high to breed and perform well.
• Energy: Spent on actions (scouting, healing, caretaking). Regain by resting.
• Mood: Low mood can cause refusals. Improve with food, water, rest, and care.

Pets rest when energy is low or when you send them to the Sleeping Den. While sleeping they slowly recover. If there’s a “sleep until” time, they’ll wake automatically; you cant wake a sleeping pet. you have to wait.

Visit the Healer’s Den. Healers use herbs and water to treat sickness and restore health. Keep pets fed and hydrated to avoid relapses.

Yes. If health reaches 0 , thirst reaches 0, hunger reaches 0(from starvation, dehydration, disease, or accidents) and stays there for 3 days a pet dies and can’t be revived. They remain in your history as part of your colony’s story.

Levels are basically Age. So level 1 is baby, 2 is child, 3 is adult

A colony is a group of pets pooling resources and duties. Colonies unlock dens (Nursery/Caretaker, Healer’s Den), fortification, a colony forum, events, and shared survival. Necessary for gameplay.

Pets at level 3+ can found a colony. Or join an existing one via invitation or open membership from the Colony page.

• Leader / All: Oversees the colony; broader access.
• Healer: Treats sick pets with herbs/water.
• Caretaker: Manages nursery tasks and kits.
• Scouts: Scouts the area/lives dangerously- finds supplies, also reserve soldiers when colonies attack
• Builders: In charge of fortifying and making the base strong- first line of defense against other colonies.
• Recruits: No role yet.
• Others/Reserve: Support roles used as needed/dont really do much though but if you have a level 3 in reserve you can move to them if your main character dies.

• Herbs: Healing.
• Meat: Feeding.
• Water: Thirst
• Wood & Stone: Fortify your settlement/protect you from other colony attacks
• Treasure: Rare finds; these special items stay with your user and move with you to colonies to permananently upgrade your camp with special upgrades.

If defenses fail and all pets die, the colony becomes ruined. You can adopt anew and start a fresh run.

Scouting sends pets to explore for resources and events. It’s risky—accidents and sickness can happen—but successful expeditions fill your stocks. See Scouting logs for results.

Eligible pets (alive, healthy, not sick/pregnant, level 3+, 100+ health) can send/receive breeding requests within a colony. Accepted pairs produce a pregnancy in the nursery; kits arrive later with traits inspired by parents. Mothers get up to 3 kits- fathers get 1.

Visuals may blend or favor one parent. Names are your choice; appearances are generated from parent layers/traits with some variation.

Check species match, level (3+), health (100+), and status (not sick/pregnant).

Low mood, low energy, sickness, or poor health can cause refusals. Feed, water, rest, and heal to restore cooperation.

Use “Forgot Password” on the login page. Follow the email link to set a new one.
