Healer shelf
Healer’s Shelf
The Healer’s Shelf is where the colony stores its gathered herbs — both fresh and dried. Bundles line the shelves in neat rows, each marked and sorted for quick use during emergencies.
Purpose
The Shelf acts as your main inventory for healing resources. From here, the healer can see exactly how many fresh herbs and dried herbs the colony currently has in stock. In future updates, the Shelf will also allow you to heal injured pets directly using those supplies.
How It Works
• Fresh Herbs — Grown in the Healer’s Garden; more potent but spoil quickly if not used or dried.
• Dried Herbs — Created in the Apothecary; less potent but stable for long-term storage.
• Both types are stored under your colony’s shared resources and can be accessed by the healer role.
• The Shelf displays current totals and allows interaction with other healer systems.
Planned Functions
• Healing Pets — Use herbs to restore health and cure ailments.
• Sorting and Storage — Organize herbs by type, potency, or batch.
• Spoilage Tracking — In future versions, fresh herbs will wither if left unused too long.
Quick Tips
• Check your Shelf often — it’s the best way to see how your healing supply chain is doing.
• Dried herbs may be weaker, but they last forever and can always be used in a pinch.
• Once healing is active, some ailments may require only fresh herbs for best results.
• Keep your Apothecary and Garden balanced — too many fresh herbs and you’ll waste them, too few and you’ll run out during a crisis.
Lore Note
The shelf creaks softly as bundles dry and age. A careful paw might brush across a label, reading the names of herbs long harvested — memories of seasons past, and the quiet work that keeps a colony alive.
