Equipment and Armory
Equipment and Armory
Equipment covers functional gear such as bags, armor, tools, weapons, and other items that can affect survival.
This is separate from protected cosmetics and dress-up items.
Functional Gear
A functional item may affect:
- Carrying capacity.
- Protected preparation slots.
- Travel safety.
- Combat readiness.
- Durability, repairs, or breakage.
- Crafting, building, hunting, scouting, fishing, or other work.
Armory Ownership
Gear made or managed through the Armory should respect ownership and assignment rules. Crafter-owned or player-owned equipment should not be treated like anonymous colony clutter unless the system explicitly says so.
Durability and Repairs
Functional gear may wear down. Damaged gear may become weaker, break, require repairs, or become unsafe for serious work.
Gear Versus Cosmetics
Cosmetics and dress-up items are protected appearance items. They do not give survival stats simply because they look dramatic.
Functional gear is different. If an item changes carrying, combat, travel, work, safety, or durability, its function is canon gameplay even if it also has art.
Death and Loss
Functional gear and carried supplies may be lost during dangerous travel, battle, raids, or death depending on the situation. Cosmetics are handled differently.

Functional gear only affects gameplay when equipped, assigned, or activated through the proper equipment system. A visual-only display of gear is just dress-up unless the page says otherwise.
