Inventory
Inventory
The Inventory stores items owned by the player. Food, herbs, water, materials, tools, cosmetics, equipment, crafting supplies, and strange things recovered from the wilderness may all appear here.
Player Inventory Versus Colony Storage
- Player Inventory belongs to the user and has limited space.
- Colony Storage holds shared survival supplies such as food, water, herbs, and materials.
- Pet Bags hold what an individual pet carries during dangerous outings.
These systems are connected, but they are not one bottomless sack with three labels sewn onto it.
Item Uses
- Consumables can feed, water, heal, or otherwise affect pets.
- Materials support crafting, repairs, upgrades, den work, and fortification.
- Equipment provides practical effects when equipped.
- Cosmetics alter a pet's appearance when displayed through Dress Up.
- Perishables may spoil, dry out, or become unsafe over time.
Limited Space
Inventory space matters. Pets also need enough carrying room before they leave the colony. When swapping bags, the game prevents a downgrade that would strand more items than the new bag can hold. A protected overflow pouch may temporarily hold displaced items until the owner makes room.
