Hostile Raids

Hostile Raids

A Hostile Raid is a direct threat against the colony. Raids are more serious than ordinary travel encounters because the danger comes to the den instead of waiting politely in the woods.

Raid Types

Known raid pressure can include:

  • PvE den assaults - Hostile creatures or enemy forces threaten the colony directly.

  • PvP-style raids - Player colony conflict systems may use similar structure when active.

Raid Length

Some hostile den assaults may last multiple days. The colony may need to survive repeated pressure rather than winning everything in one tidy click.

Moves and Turns

Raid defenders may have a limited number of moves per day. The exact options can depend on the active raid, the defender, and the current system state.

Possible actions may include:

  • Attack or special attacks when eligible.

  • Defend or brace against incoming danger.

  • Use allowed healing items.

  • Hold position or wait when needed.

Perimeter Keepers

Perimeter Keepers provide the active defense queue for raids. Their eligibility is checked dynamically, not only when they were first assigned.

Read Perimeter Keepers before trusting a roster that includes a pregnant, sleeping, sick, starving, mysteriously busy warrior named Pebble.

Enemies

Hostile enemies may scale with the colony and can vary in strength. Some enemies may persist, return, gain grudge-style history, or become more memorable than a generic one-time raccoon with poor boundaries.

Healing During Raids

Healing is limited and usually depends on available items or allowed actions. Raids should not be treated like a harmless training session.

Death and Vacancies

Pets can be injured or killed during serious raid pressure. If a defender dies, they should be removed from the live slot and the next valid reserve should be considered automatically.
