Fortify

The Fortify area is where builders and warriors reinforce the colony itself. Territory forts protect individual tiles, while colony fortifications improve the den's overall ability to survive raids, predators, disasters, and other problems with teeth.

Who Can Fortify?

• Builders are the colony's main construction specialists.


• Warriors may also assist with building and fortification work.


• Leaders and pets with All access can manage the broader colony systems.

Materials

Fortifying uses stored materials such as wood and stone. Supplies are taken from the colony's current resource stacks, not from an endless generic pile. Weather damage, shortages, and other survival pressures can make preparation more difficult.

Colony Defense and Territory Defense

Colony fortification and map-tile fortification are connected but separate. Territory forts are managed through the Fortifying Tiles page. A colony with neglected territory, weak patrols, and poor supplies may be easier to pressure even if one part of the den is well reinforced.

Tips

• Do not wait for an attack before gathering construction materials.


• Keep an eye on weather and resource shortages before committing supplies.


• Use builders for regular upkeep instead of treating every repair like an emergency carpentry tournament.
