Colony Pulse
Colony Pulse
The Colony Pulse is the colony's warning and follow-up feed. It gathers problems, hints, reminders, and cleanup notices so players can respond before small issues become full den theater.
What Pulse Can Warn About
Pulse notices may include:
- Low food, spoiled supplies, unsafe water, or storage problems.
- Sickness, injury, quarantine pressure, healer shortages, or herb shortages.
- Wet bedding, dirty dens, pests, predators, or hygiene pressure.
- Pregnancy, kits, nursery warnings, elder care, or old-age passing context.
- Unresolved remains, deceased-care needs, contamination, or graveyard follow-up.
- Territory, raids, perimeter defenders, or siege aftermath.
- Fishing, travel, ecology, and resource-pressure handoffs.
- Chaos, rituals, cleansing, or strange vague warnings.
- Snail mourning, Caucus stasis, or snail-system reminders where supported.
Dismissal
Dismissing a Pulse notice hides it for the player. It does not fix the underlying issue.
If the water is contaminated, dismissing the notice does not make the water apologize and become clean.
Clearing Notices
Some notices clear when the underlying problem is fixed. Others may remain as history, reminders, or follow-up context until dismissed.
Backlog and Cleanup
Pulse cleanup tools help remove stale, duplicate, repaired, or already-resolved notices. The goal is to keep the warning feed useful instead of letting it become a haunted corkboard.
When to Check Pulse
Check Pulse:
- After daily rollover.
- After raids, deaths, travel outcomes, or fishing decisions.
- When weather has been harsh.
- When sickness, rot, unsafe water, or nursery trouble appears.
- Whenever the colony hub looks suspiciously calm. Suspicious calm is a woodland dialect.
