Seasons and Environmental Pressure

Seasons change what the colony needs to worry about over time. A calm spring morning and a frozen winter night should not feel like the same survival math wearing different wallpaper.

[h2]Seasonal Examples</h2]
Seasonal pressure may include:

  • Spring pollen, allergies, mud, damp bedding, and new growth.

  • Summer heat, thirst, spoilage, drought, algae water, and exhaustion.

  • Autumn scarcity, storms, rot, migration, and preparation pressure.

  • Winter cold, frost cough, frozen water, hunger, and vulnerable kits or elders.

[h2]Resource Changes</h2]
Seasons may affect foraging, hunting, fishing, water, herbs, spoilage, and ecology pressure.

[h2]Sickness Changes</h2]
Some illnesses may be more likely during certain weather or seasons. This does not mean every illness is publicly formula-based, only that environment matters.

[h2]Travel Changes</h2]
Travel may be more dangerous in harsh seasons. Snow, heat, storms, drought, smoke, flooding, and cold can all change whether scouting or hunting is a good idea.

[h2]Preparation</h2]
Prepare for seasons by watching:

  • Food and preserved supplies.

  • Water safety and storage.

  • Herbs and dried medicine.

  • Bedding, shelter, and repairs.

  • Pregnant pets, kits, elders, sick pets, and mutation-sensitive pets.
