Rituals
Rituals
Rituals are colony actions tied to intent, consequence, and Chaos. They are not ordinary crafting recipes and should not be treated like perfectly safe resource exchanges.
What Rituals May Do
Depending on the ritual and the state of the colony, a ritual may:
- Shift or respond to Chaos pressure.
- Create a timed effect or countdown.
- Require offerings, conditions, or careful choice.
- Help, harm, warn, or change the colony in less predictable ways.
Risk and Uncertainty
Rituals are intentionally not documented as exact step-by-step calculators. The wiki will explain the idea, but not every hidden outcome.
A ritual is not a vending machine. If the colony performs something strange, the result may also be strange. Revolutionary concept, deeply inconvenient.
Ritual Warnings
Ritual effects or countdowns may appear in:
- Colony Pulse.
- Ritual pages.
- Activity logs or event text.
- Aftermath messages when something resolves.
Before Performing a Ritual
Check the colony's condition first. Rituals performed during sickness, shortages, contamination, unresolved remains, or intense weather may not behave the same as rituals performed during calmer times.
