Species Guide



Feral Rise pets can belong to different species. Species affects diet, breeding compatibility, care expectations, and some survival strengths or weaknesses.

Foxes


Foxes are flexible omnivores.

  • They can eat meat.

  • They can use many colony roles.

  • They may be strong candidates for hunting, scouting, fighting, or mixed survival work depending on stats and condition.



Rabbits


Rabbits are herbivores.

  • Rabbits do not eat meat.

  • Rabbits may rely more heavily on plant foods, safe stores, and colony care.

  • Rabbit meat may be usable by foxes in some systems, but rabbits themselves cannot eat it.



Breeding Compatibility


Species must match for breeding. Foxes breed with foxes. Rabbits breed with rabbits. Different species do not produce mixed offspring.

Care Differences


Species may affect:

  • Food options.

  • Travel danger and role suitability.

  • Mutation effects or weather vulnerabilities.

  • Story flavor and colony usefulness.
