Rankings
Rankings
Rankings are public or semi-public boards that show player progress, colony progress, achievement progress, game scores, or other measurable milestones where supported.
What Rankings Can Show
Rankings may include things like:
--achievement progress
--battle records
--snail race results
--fishing records
--crafting discoveries
--territory progress
--colony survival milestones
--side-game scores
--rare event counts where appropriate
What Rankings Should Not Show
Rankings should avoid exposing private, unsafe, or hidden information.
They should not reveal:
--secret achievement triggers
--private staff notes
--hidden system checks
--other players' sensitive account details
--full mystery-system logic
--information that would let players exploit a hidden system too easily
Rankings Are Not Always Complete Truth
Some rankings may only count supported actions, visible events, or records tracked after a system was added.
Older actions may not always be backfilled.
Fairness
A ranking should say enough for players to understand the general goal without revealing every tiny formula.
For example, a board can show 'snail trail finds' without listing every rare soil roll and secret outcome.
Privacy and Scope
Some rankings may be account-wide. Others may be colony, pet, snail, seasonal, or event-specific.
A ranking should only show records that belong in that public scope.
