Pet Bases and Availability

Availability Rules</h2]
A base may be available because of:

• Species.


• Age or life stage.


• Ownership or unlock status.


• Events or special releases.


• Discovery, breeding, or outcome visibility where supported.

[h2]Do Not Spoil Hidden Outcomes</h2]
Some bases or outcomes should not be shown before they are discovered, unlocked, or otherwise made visible. Availability should respect discovery and archive-style rules where supported.

[h2]Bases vs. Mutations</h2]
Bases are the main visual form. Mutations and overlays can add or change traits on top of that base.

[h2]Bases vs. Stats</h2]
A base does not automatically change survival stats, combat level, diet, role, or ability. If a base has special mechanics, the system should say so.

[h2]Breeding and Inheritance</h2]
Bases may matter for breeding appearance where supported. Genetics and inheritance rules can decide what offspring may display.
