Training Grounds
The Training Grounds are where colony pets practice the skills needed to survive a world that keeps hiding problems behind trees.
What Training Does
Training helps pets improve the stats used by colony jobs and dangerous activities:
- Strength – Physical work, carrying, building, hunting, and combat.
- Agility – Movement, scouting, dodging, escape, and certain outdoor risks.
- Intellect – Healing, caretaking, building decisions, and other skilled work.
Training Stations
The den can support training stations and upgrades. Better facilities help the colony develop more capable adults over time. Training still depends on the pet's condition; a starving, sick, exhausted pet is not going to have a productive montage.
Young Pets and Mentors
Level-2 pets learn through apprenticeship in the caretaker system. Adult training and apprentice mentorship are connected, but they are not the same thing.
Preparation Matters
Stats help, but they do not erase risk. Gear, supplies, mutations, weather, food, water, health, and energy all affect survival.
