Sleeping den
Sleeping Den
The Sleeping Den gives colony members a place to rest safely. Beds are not decorative fluff piles: capacity, cleanliness, and dryness can affect recovery and sickness risk.
Beds and Capacity
The Sleeping Den has a limited number of usable beds. Upgrades can improve how many pets can rest safely and how well the den handles difficult conditions.
Bedding Condition
- Dry, clean bedding supports safe rest.
- Wet bedding can encourage illness, especially during cold or humid weather.
- Dirty bedding can contribute to pests, parasites, and disease.
- Neglected dens may become increasingly unsafe until cleaned or repaired.
Pests and Weather
Rain, humidity, overcrowding, and poor maintenance can make the den harder to keep safe. Rats and other pests may become more likely when the colony leaves food, waste, or deceased pets unattended.
Tips
- Clean and dry bedding before a problem becomes an outbreak.
- Expand capacity before the colony is already sleeping in a furry heap.
- Treat repeated sickness as a possible den-maintenance warning, not only bad luck.
