Progress Hooks

Progress hooks are how the site records actions for achievements, logs, warnings, or other tracking systems.

A hook is basically the site saying, 'that happened, write it down somewhere useful.'

What Hooks Can Track

Progress hooks may track:

--FOX/F.O.X.S.-related questions or interactions where supported

--chat, goodbye, safety, or memory-style events

--snail trail finds

--snail habitat care

--snail companion boosts

--snail breeding, baby growth, mourning, or racing events

--deceased-care handling

--undertaker/manual remains actions

--Bone Scatter rolls and rare outcomes

--icon/custom maker saves

--random outcome usage

--reserve-to-active promotions

--battle wins, losses, flees, injuries, deaths, and rare combat outcomes

--territory or travel progress

--crafting discoveries

Why Hooks Matter

Without hooks, achievements and logs would have to guess what happened.

With hooks, the site can update progress when an action actually happens.

Hooks Are Not Always Visible

Players may not see every hook. Some are only used behind the scenes for progress, statistics, safety checks, or future features.

Avoid Overexplaining Hidden Systems

If a hook connects to a mystery system, the wiki should stay vague.

Players can know progress is tracked without getting a full map of the haunted wiring.
