Pet Jobs and stats
Pet Jobs and Stats
Colony jobs give pets practical responsibilities. The right role matters because different activities use different stats, permissions, and survival strengths.
Main Jobs
- Leader – Manages the colony, permissions, diplomacy, and difficult decisions.
- Healer – Treats illness and injury. Healers rely heavily on intellect.
- Caretaker – Mentors level-2 young pets and helps them grow. Caretakers rely on intellect and strength.
- Wetnurse – Remains available to care for orphaned level-1 kits when eligible.
- Builder – Repairs, upgrades, and fortifies. Builders rely on strength and intellect.
- Scout – Travels beyond the den, finds routes and resources, and encounters danger. Scouts benefit from strength, agility, and intellect.
- Warrior – Defends the colony and can assist with scouting and building. Warriors rely strongly on strength.
- Reserve – Keeps a pet available without assigning a specialist job.
- Recruit – A newer or not-yet-established colony member.
- All – A special access role for pets handling every responsibility alone.
Why Stats Matter
Stats influence how well a pet performs, but preparation matters too. A strong scout can still suffer if sent out hungry, exhausted, sick, or carrying the wrong supplies. Training, mentorship, equipment, weather, and mutations can all affect a pet's chances.
