Fox'Winds story starts with being a kit named Fox'kit She open her eyes. She is in a den... Her mother and father are nearby. One of them is a cat and One of them is a fox A cat, her father, notices her "Aw look at that... the kit's finally awake." A fox, her mother, walks closer "It looks adorable." They both look lovingly down at her Her father speaks "So... have you thought of a name for the kit yet?" Her mother thinks for a moment "Hmm...what about... Foxkit?" Her father thinks about it "I like it. Foxkit..." **6 moons** She was playing with water in RiverClan, suddenly A warrior in RiverClan comes over her "Hey kit. Shouldn't you be back in camp? You know, playing with your littermates and watching the elders tell their stories?" The warrior said "Idk... I like playing with my own self" She said "Hm... well playing by yourself isn't very safe for a young kit like you." They said as the warrior looks down at her "What if a hawk or a fox saw you out here all alone?" They said "But foxes don't hurt me because I'm am one!" She said The warrior pauses and speak. "Ah, right... you're a fox cat aren't you?" The warrior smiles and tell her "Still, young kit, it isn't safe to be out here on your own. Why not play in the nursery with your littermates?" "Fine..." She said as she return to camp and head to the nursery Inside she can see her littermates playing with each other She wants to speak to them so she did "Hi?" Her littermates turn to look at her. "Hey, where have you been? We were wondering where you disappeared to." "To the river! Wanna come?" One of her littermates, a black-and-white kit named Willow'kit, nods. "Sure! Let's go." Willow'kit stands up, as do the other kits, and follows her out of the nursery Her and her littermates play in the water, splashing each other and having a great time. Suddenly, one of the kits, a dark ginger tomkit named Lion'kit, gets an idea "Hey, let's see who can hold their breath underwater the longest!" The other kits cheer in excitement, and they all get ready to hold their breaths "Alright, on the count of three... 1, 2, 3!" All the kits start holding their breath. She close her eyes and try to hold out for as long as possible A few moments pass. She can feel her lungs starting to burn, begging her to take a breath. She look at the other kits. Some of them already have their head above the surface, gasping for air. She continue holding her breath, determined to beat the others. However, the pressure in her lungs is becoming harder and harder to ignore. The other kits are getting close to giving up, but she still going strong. Finally, the other kits start giving up one by one. They pop out of the water, gasping for air. Only her remain underwater, pushing through the discomfort and holding her breath for as long as she can She burst out of the water, gasping and panting for air. The other kits gather around her, impressed by her display of breath-holding skills. "Wow, Fox'kit! You held your breath forever!" exclaims Lion'kit "Thanks..." She said "Maybe you're even part fish."snickers Willow'kit. The other kits giggle at the joke Just then, a voice calls from the edge of the clearing. "What are you all doing out here? You should be in the nursery!" *She turns to see her mother standing there, looking at her and her littermates with a stern expression. She walks over and looks at her specifically* "Fox'kit, I told you to stay in the nursery. It's not safe for a young kit like you to be by yourself." "But mom-" "No buts, young kit." Her mother looks at her sternly "You need to stay in the nursery where it's safe. The world is dangerous, especially for a young cat-fox hybrid like you, and I won't allow you to put yourself in danger." The other kits look between her and her mom, silently watching the exchange Her mother turns to the other kits "As for you all, back to the nursery now. It's getting late, and it's time for everyone to sleep." The other kits look disappointed, but they know better than to argue with her mother. They say goodbye to her, and start making their way back to the nursery She trudged along beside her mother, feeling a bit dejected. She was having so much fun playing by the river, and now she have to go back to the boring ol' nursery... As she approach the nursery, she see her father waiting outside. He nods approvingly as she and her mother approach "I heard you were down at the river again." he says to her, his tone serious "Yeah dad..." She said Her father sighs "I understand you like to explore and play, but it's not safe for you to be out there on your own." Her mother nods in agreement "Your father is right. We just want to keep you safe, that's all." Her father kneels down so he's eye level with her "You know there are dangerous animals out there that see you as nothing more than a snack, yes?" "But-" "No buts, Fox'kit." Her father interrupts her "You are our kit, and it is our job to protect you. And that means keeping you safe, which means staying in the nursery." Her father speaks softly, but there's a seriousness in his voice that she know not to ignore Her mother adds "We understand you're growing and curious, but there will be plenty of time for exploring when you're older and stronger. For now, you need to listen to us and stay in the nursery where we can keep an eye on you."

The next day The appearance ceremony She is just starting to doze off when she hear a commotion coming from outside the nursery. She open her eyes and sit up, wondering what's going on She look around and see that the other kits in the nursery are starting to wake up as well, wondering what all the noise is about. Her mother pokes her head into the nursery, her expression serious "Wake up, young ones. It's time for the appearance ceremony." At the appearance ceremony Her and the other kits from her litter are gathered outside the nursery, along with your parents and other warriors and elders from the clan. All eyes are on her and her litter mates as the clan leader steps forward "Today is a special day. These kits have grown and it is time for them to receive their apprentice names." There are a few excited whispers among the gathered cats, but everyone quiets down when the clan leader continues speaking The clan leader looks at her and her litter mates "Come forward, young kits." Her and the other kits step forward, feeling a mixture of excitement and nervousness The clan leader speaks again "Today, you will receive your apprentice names, which mark the beginning of your journey towards becoming full warriors of your clan." She look around at the crowd of cats, seeing the pride and excitement in their eyes. Her parents are watching her proudly, and she can feel a sense of anticipation in the air The clan leader continues "We will start with the first kit of the litter. Please step forward." One of her litter mates, Willow'kit, steps forward. The clan leader looks at Willow'kit "Willow'kit, do you promise to obey the warrior code, and to protect and defend this clan at all costs?" Willow'kit nods eagerly, her eyes shining with excitement "I do." The clan leader nods, satisfied with her response "Then, by the power vested in me by StarClan, I give you your apprentice name. From this moment, you will be known as Willowpaw, Your mentor is Oak'heart" There is applause from the gathered cats, and Willow'kit looks ecstatic The clan leader motions for Willowpaw to move to the side, and then looks at her "Next kit, step forward." She steps forward, The clan leader looks down at you, their expression softening "Fox'kit. Do you promise to obey the warrior code, and to protect and defend this clan at all costs?" "I do" The clan leader nods, pleased with her answer "Then, by the power vested in me by StarClan, I give you your apprentice name. From this moment, you will be known as Foxpaw. Your mentor is Night'heart" There is applause from the gathered cats once more, and she can feel her heart pounding with excitement. She done it! She are officially on the path to becoming a warrior. Your mentor, Night'heart, steps forward to stand beside her, a proud look in his eyes She turned her head to look at her litter mate, Lion'kit, who is waiting to receive his apprentice name The clan leader turns their attention to Lion'kit "Lion'kit, do you promise to obey the warrior code, and to protect and defend this clan at all costs?" Lion'kit stands tall, his eyes shining with determination "I do!" The clan leader nods, satisfied with Lion'kit's response "Then, by the power vested in me by StarClan, I give you your apprentice name. From this moment, you will be known as Lionpaw. Your mentor is Dust'cloud" There is more applause from the gathered cats for Lionpaw, and he looks even more excited than before

Shatterkit Moon 1 Bathed in the twilight's glow, I emerge into the world, cradled within the warmth of the nursery. A pair of caring eyes - My adoptive father, Ashenstar - gaze down at me, his purrs echoing the heartbeat I grown familiar with. His scent envelops me, a mix of milk and love. The Clan's soft murmurs reach my ears, distant and comforting. Welcome to the world, Shatterkit. Moon 2 I convince Wisppelt to let me go out and play, without much effort. It seems I especially good at using my words to get what I want. I follow the warriors with my eyes as they leave for a patrol. I can't wait for my turn to explore beyond the camp. Bluepaw shows off his skills, and I observe in awe. Maybe someday I be just like him. Moon 3 None Moon 4 I found a new accessory, orchid! I choose to store it in a safe place for now. I perform a choreographed song and dance for the leader, much to their delight. A sudden downpour drenches the camp. I splash in the puddles it leaves behind. The queens aren't happy when I track mud back into the nursery. Moon 5 As Fruitclaw tells me a long and boring story, I restlessly paw at the grass, waiting for her to be done. Moon 6 Shatterpaw My heart pounds in my chest as I sit beneath the great rock. The murmurs of the gathered Clan rise around me, vibrating through my paws. Ashenstar, a figure of strength and grace, stands tall on the rock, his gaze penetrating the crowd until it lands on you. You feel the weight of the stare, not menacing, but filled with expectations. As my name is called, the assembled cats fall silent. Respect, recognition, responsibility, all blend into a heady mix as I step forward, my young eyes meeting those of my mentor - Hollyhockdapple. The brief touch of his nose to my forehead marks the change of my status, and I am now named Shatterpaw. Moon 7 A particularly tough border skirmish leaves me exhausted. I wonder if being a medicine cat would have been a better choice. I trip on my way to the fresh-kill pile. Half the Clan saw it, but Fringemist is nice enough to help me play it off. Whew! Moon 8 I help out with a few den repairs this moon. The camp looks much better in the end, and should be good for another moon. Moon 9 While battle training, I execute a complex move perfectly on my first try. Hollyhockdapple praises me enthusiastically in front of the other apprentices. Burntrot notices me looking tired. I reassure her that I'm fine but relent when she gives you some herbs to help me sleep. Some time today was well spent lost in my own thoughts. Reflection is always a useful tool. I accidentally scare off a rabbit while out hunting with Hollyhockdapple. He sighs in exasperation but patiently explains how to avoid making noise next time. It's time to clean out my nest! Fresh moss is great, but I will miss the bits of fluff and feathers. Wisppelt seems to notice my unhappiness and offers some of his supply for me! Moon 10 I ask Hollyhockdapple if he can teach me a specific lesson on hunting birds this moon. What an unusual blue butterfly! Strange... Maybe it's a sign? I ponder it for a bit. Wisppelt and the kits have left a bit of a mess with whatever game they were playing. I decide to clean up, and later, Wisppelt is incredibly grateful. Today is a good day to spend with the elders. Fruitclaw is thrilled that I come to join them. I was caught outside of the Clan's territory. Moon 11 Shattershadow Underneath the shimmering sky, the Clan congregates around the Great Rock. My eyes meet Ashenstar's gaze and with a nod, he ascends the stone. The murmurs of my Clanmates hush, the anticipation tangible in the air. As my name is called, I rise to my paws and stride forward, my heart beating loudly in my chest. my leader's muzzle touches my forehead, his breath warm against my fur. He honors me for my hard work and announces from this moment forth, I will be known as Shattershadow. Moon 12 Me and Fringemist spend the day reinforcing the camp walls with branches and brambles. A sudden downpour forces my patrol to take shelter under a thick bramble bush until it passes. Warblerkit asks me about my first battle. I paint myself as the hero who saved FoxClan from the evil GlintClan It's a great day to lie down and soak up the sun's rays. I take advantage of it. Wisppelt was taking some prey from the fresh-kill pile only to find a horde of rats! He called to me for help and together they fought off the rats, but not before being injured. Moon 13 Hollyhockdapple is talking about a kittypet he met on patrol. I recall that kittypet as well. Small world! Some time today was well spent lost in my own thoughts. Reflection is always a useful tool. With my claws sharpened and fur glistening, I feel like I could conquer the world today! Until someone points out a straying tuft of fur... My torn pelt has healed. I had a bad fall while taking a walk through the territory, returning to camp sore and bruised. Moon 14 Warmfox paces anxiously before finally asking if he can switch patrol duties with Fringemist. I nod after considering the day's plans. Sometimes flexibility keeps the Clan running smooth. My bruises have healed. Moon 15 With my claws sharpened and fur glistening, I feel like I could conquer the world today! Until someone points out a straying tuft of fur... I spend some time with Crowwind today. The two of us enjoy the time away from camp. The Clan is having a lazy sunhigh. I gather a group of established warriors to the training grounds and dedicate the day to refining their battle tactics, fighting moves, and cooperation with one another. I shut down the argument swiftly and succinctly, leading to amusement from the other warriors as Eggpad licks his chest in embarrassment. Moon 18 I announced that I am expecting kits. FoxClan wants to congratulate me - but the rising celebration is interrupted by me snapping, completely unprovoked, that this pregnancy doesn't make me a wilting flower and I will not be moving my nest.
